SUSHISAMBA London,  our charitable partner Cool Earth, an organization that works alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction, and iconic fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood hosted a series of fantastic fundraising events to raise money and awareness for Cool Earth’s mission.


Dining for Cool Earth

At a dinner held Tuesday, November 7th, thirty Cool Earth trustees, supporters and patrons enjoyed a specially curated dinner designed by SUSHISAMBA Corporate Chef Cláudio Cardoso. Chef Cláudio created the ‘Rainforest Revolution’, a dish inspired by one of Dame Vivienne’s Climate Revolution Playing Cards that replicates one of the designer’s colorful cards in 3-dimensional, fully-edible form. “Please give my heartfelt thanks.  The venue was great and the food fantastic, innovative and absolutely delicious,” said Dame Vivienne Westwood. As one of the inaugural patrons of Cool Earth, Dame Vivienne, with her husband Andreas, has donated more than £1.5 million to the charity.

Another diner summed up the experience as follows: “What a night. What a gastronomic adventure. Thank you so much for including me.”

The collaboration with iconic fashion designer Dame Vivienne Westwood, raised over a hundred thousand pounds to date for Cool Earth.


The Cool Earth Silent Auction

In tandem with the dinner, SUSHISAMBA also hosted a silent auction with three incredible experiences for the public to bid on. The first of these was four places at the November 7th dinner. The other two auction items included two tickets to Vivienne Westwood’s London Fashion Week Show in January 2018 which includes a meet and greet with the fashion designer, as well as a special tasting menu event at SUSHISAMBA created by Chef Cláudio.
